The large-scale graffiti will both adorn the construction site area and remind the workers that they should follow the occupational health and safety rules and work safely.
Artists created four images on the building using projection, which took several months. At first, sketches were developed and approved, and after some modification of the graphics, the sketches were provided to an art studio so that they could be transferred to the façades. The human figures are over six metres high.
Konstantin Khudyakov, Director of the Program for LNPP facilities at JSC CONCERN TITAN-2, said:
“Our ambition is to become the best NPP construction site by any parameter. The important thing is to set the trend at the start of the construction. The main goal of the project is to ensure occupational safety and completion of tasks strictly according to schedule, as well as to further develop the Rosatom Production System. Therefore, each character is encouraging workers to follow the rules that apply to his profession, be it working at height, electrical installation work or engineering and technical work. Such motivation images really work. This approach is relevant and clear to everyone.
What has been done is just the first stage of the decoration. These hero builders will become a concept before the new power units of LNPP-2 are completed. They will be used in brochures and posters as a trademark of the project. There are also motivation quotes and bright-coloured graffiti on the walls in the corridor of the building. Later, we will have images at the staircases. They will show real life heroes of TITAN-2 – the best specialists in their respective lines of work and the winners of professional excellence competitions. We are creating a modern, comfortable space for productive work for our employees.”
