JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 is the General Contractor. The works at the site are ongoing simultaneously in three directions in compliance with the schedule.
Currently, approximately 70 machinery items and more than 100 workers are engaged there.
The main work period started at the united pump station of firefighting water supply. The concreting of the foundation slab and the basement walls was completed there.
The preparatory period works were completed at the 110/10 kV transformer substation, which will supply power to the construction site of the new power units of the Leningrad NPP-2. The foundations are currently under construction. A cable route was laid between installation area No. 1 and installation are No. 5 that connects the transformer substation to the outdoor switchgear ORU-110 kV of the Leningrad NPP.
At the moment, the wood cutting works were completed in full in three areas. The final stage of the wood cutting works in the remaining two areas is planned for March. All logging residues are shredded and recycled.
The works for vertical levelling of the construction site continue. The temporary roads are being constructed.
Konstantin Khudyakov, Program Director for Leningrad NPP Facilities of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 stated:
“Today we will complete the works related to transportation of fertile soil to be stored at the territory of construction and installation base No. 3, which will be later used for landscaping upon completion of the power units construction. We are also performing the road arrangement works of the preparatory period. Now, the work for foundation preparation has been completed, we are proceeding to arranging the top coat of the roads, which will connect some facilities of the future site and the nearby roads to the site. Besides, the construction works at the bypass roads around the building of the General Contractor and the Customer are in progress”.
