JSC SOSNOVOBORELECTROMONTAZH (Titan-2 Holding) third team specialists performed this complex installation operation attended by JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 Industrial Safety Team and Installation supervisor from the manufacturing plant.

This is the second generator circuit breaker installed into the turbine building at the +7.800 elevation. Equipment installation - unpacking through lifting to the design position - lasted approximately two hours.

Generator circuit breakers are required to improve the unit auxiliary power supply reliability, decrease the damage extent and prevent the accident progression in case of short circuit in the unit transformer low-voltage winding. Moreover, it is an integral part of the generator synchronization with the main power system.

The breakers weigh 12 tonnes. Special requirements are applied to their transportation and installation. To safely install this equipment into its proper location, the complex work execution plan was developed. JSC SEM used its own forces to manufacture and install the launching rails. They have successfully passed the tests and were ready for equipment delivery.

Upon generators circuit breakers installation into the design position, they will be further connected to the 24kV conductor. And once the breakers are fully hooked up, they will be delivered for commissioning.
