This is one of the major processes to be performed in the reactor compartment. Equipment installation process starts with in-vessel core barrel weighing 75 tons. Once it is in place, other equipment is sequentially installed into the reactor pressure vessel: baffle plate, protective tube unit and upper unit.
The works are performed by the team of experienced JSC “MSU-90” specialists. They shall align the giant reactor components with incredible precision.
The installation is being performed at the +26.000 elevation of the reactor building using polar crane with 360 tons lifting capacity.
Once control assembly of all the internals is over, the specialists will commence reactor preparation for hydraulic testing and hot and cold running.
