The specialists of JSC MSU-90 and JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 performed the installation. The dome was installed to the height of more than 50 meters.

The weight of the load is 190 tons, diameter – 44 meters. The dome part of the containment is made of 36 metal plates. The safety system elements and maintenance platforms are assembled on the inner side of the containment. The structure assembling was developed over several months on a special building berth at the reactor building.

The reactor dome was installed to the proper location by means of Liebherr LR 11350 crawler crane with a maximum loading capacity of 1350 tons. The crane is used during all the most large installation works on the LNPP construction site.

Along with the dome part, the building height of the second power unit is 66.6 meters. Once the welding works are finished, reinforcing and concreting of the inner containment will be continued.
