The operations involve specialists of the NPP, servicemen, and representatives of the  holding TITAN-2 subsidiary,  JSC MSU-90, who installed the equipment of the reactor plant.

At the stage of the inspection the technical status of the reactor plant main equipment is assessed after cold and hot run, that is, the equipment is checked under operating load. To date, positive results have been received for the main coolant pipelines upon performing 100% scope of metal inspection: welded joints have been accepted unconditionally. Also successful was the inspection of one of the four steam generators.

The task of JSC MSU-90 specialists at the inspection stage is to prepare the exterior weld joints of the steam generators, pressurizer, and all heat exchange equipment for metal inspection.

The next stage will be the reactor first criticality. It will start with nuclear fuel transportation from the fresh fuel storage to the reactor compartment. After that the fuel container will be placed in the fuel pool and from that pool, with the use of refueling machine, the fuel assemblies will be loaded into the reactor in automated mode.

First criticality will end with bringing the reactor to the minimum controlled power level and conducting physical experiments. This stage is scheduled to begin next month and to be completed within 30 days.
