This key event of the current year was prepared and performed by specialists of the third unit of JSC "MSU-90".
Before rotating the turbine the company’s employees launched an ambitious task of installation and joining the turbine rotors into a single unit, and closed the high and low pressure cylinders. The last element of the turbine set to install was a head of the outer casing of high pressure cylinder, weighing 46 tons. The cylinders were closed with the use of special equipment and a cold and hot tightening procedure.
In addition, specialists of the third unit of JSC "MSU-90" prepared for operation the lubrication system and hydrolifting system of the turbine set rotors, which provide the rotation of the rotor.
The turbine was rotated using a shaft turning gear. The operation succeeded, no problems during the turbine rotation were registered. This indicates both on the high quality of the assembly and joining of turbine elements.
Now the specialists of the third unit will complete the installation of vapor reheating and separation systems that participate in setting the turbine to test vacuum buildup procedure.
