The general contractor for the construction of new nuclear facilities in the Murmansk region is JSC CONCERN TITAN-2.
The obtained licenses confirm that the site in Polarnaya Zorya fully complies with all safety requirements, and the operating organization is ready to implement the project.
This decision gives a start to large-scale preparatory work. Soon specialists of TITAN-2 Holding will begin the construction of access roads, erection of a construction base, leveling of the territory and clearing the site from trees.
In the framework of preparation for the NPP construction, JSC CONCERN TITAN-2, together with the general designer, is working on the construction technology, time frames of work and safety issues. This is necessary to ensure smooth interaction of all project participants and to get to the main stage of construction in a timely manner.
The Kola NPP-2 will be the first plant with innovative VVER-S reactors with a capacity of 600 MW each.
