That’s an important step in creating one of the most protected station components. The works are being carried out by the efforts of the TITAN-2 Holding: PJSC SUS, JSC SEM, JSC MSU 90.
The TITAN-2 Construction Holding, using its own production facilities and cooperating with Egyptian partners, ensures the completion of work on the construction of Power Units 3 and 4 of Egypt's first El-Dabaa nuclear power plant. All key 2025 objectives for these facilities have been completed in full.
Significant production results have been achieved at the two power units under construction.
At Power Unit 3:
- Concreting of the foundation slab has been completed.
- Construction of walls and ceilings is in full swing.
- Installation of the first tier of the reactor building's inner containment has been finished.
- The lining of the reactor cavity and works on the upper foundation slab are continuing.
- The Open Top holding patented technology is being used during the Power Unit 3 construction. This innovative method involves the installation of the inner containment with a one-piece ring weighing about 150-155 tons. This solution significantly reduces the time between the installation of the first and second tiers of the inner containment, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of construction.
Work on concreting the lower foundation slab and erecting the reactor cavity is underway as planned at Power Unit 4.
The most important task as of today and until 2026 is to ensure the readiness of the first start-up complex of on-shore hydraulic structures. As part of this objective, it is necessary to bring the intake channels with a total length of 2,300 meters and seawalls to the 3,000 elevation and to make a rockfill. The work is also underway to bring the on-shore pump stations up to the 0.000 elevation.
