A vessel carrying a shipment of materials and equipment for the Akkuyu NPP (being built by the joint venture TITAN-2 IC İÇTAŞ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ and the Rosatom State Corporation) has arrived at the Vostochny cargo terminal. The total weight of the shipment has exceeded 475 tons.

Condensate drain line components for Unit 3, embedded parts, and electric pump equipment were delivered to the NPP site. A significant portion of the shipment has consisted of equipment manufactured by Rosatom’s Machine-Building Division. The largest load has been a bubbler for Unit No. 4, i. e. a component of the reactor’s pressure compensation system. Made of special chromium-nickel steel, it condenses steam from the reactor compartment’s primary circuit. The bubbler weighs 15 tons, is approximately 8 m long, 2.5 m in diameter, and 4 m high.

The equipment was delivered to the site after covering a distance of approximately 4,600 nautical miles from the port of Saint Petersburg. After arriving and clearing customs, all cargo has been transferred to the Vostochny terminal using a truck crane and transported to the NPP site storage facilities. Unloading and transportation operations were carried out in compliance with all safety requirements. Before being handed over for installation, the materials and equipment will undergo an incoming inspection: specialists will check for integrity, compliance with technical documentation, and completeness.
