300 cubic metres of concrete were used at concreting the foundation of the integrated pumping station of fire fighting water supply and automated fire fighting. This concrete is of high elasticity and resistance to frost and water.

“The concrete is perfectly suitable for construction of facilities in severe climatic conditions,” noted Konstantin Khudyakov, LNPP Facilities Program Director of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2”. “The pumping station foundation will maintain its strength far beyond the limits of design operational lifetime of new power units. Besides, the concrete is environment-friendly since is contains natural constituents. The hardened concrete mix is compatible with the natural stone and has no adverse impact on the human.”

The pumping station will become the first building out of the whole complex of facilities of LNPP new construction phase. It is intended for ensuring fire safety during the construction of power units Nos. 7 and 8. Station’s construction, installation, and pre-commissioning works are on schedule and will be completed in December of the next year.
