Titan team shall perform the full package of works by the third quarter of the next year – these are works on reconstruction of non-public railway from Kalishche station to LNPP-2 industrial site nearly seven kilometres long. JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 will replace existing railway bed, relay culverts, alter communications, heating, and power supply networks.

Scope of the new railway construction includes earthworks, ballasting, assembled rails and sleepers laying, and subsequent track surfacing. Besides, six railway crossings will be reconditioned along the railway bed.

At present the JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 specialists have finished to lay the bed of the first passing loop to be used by railway trains, which will provide functioning of such enterprises as LNPP, NITI, CKBM.

“Assembled rails and sleepers shall be laid onto a special bedding, namely a crushed-stone ballast. Then the parts shall be joined with one another. Then the special purpose wagons shall deliver the crushed stone for filling up. After that the works on track surfacing and aligning shall be commenced. Thus, we bring the rail to the design levels,” said Aleksey Makarov, Project Manager of the JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 Directorate for LNPP Facilities Construction.
