The contract for construction of new power units of Leningrad NPP has been signed

Currently the company is getting ready to proceed to the preparatory period. Further the specialists are looking forward to forest cutting operations. The subsequent stage will be vertical layout of the territory which will prepare the plant site to pit excavation.

Specialists of TITAN-2 Holding applied unique construction methods when constructing the first two power units. One of them is Open-Top method. This method allows for installation of large-size equipment at the reactor building through the open dome which considerably reduces the construction deadlines and provides the customer with timely commissioning and preparation to power unit start-up. Open-Top method is widely applied by the specialists of the holding at other construction facilities including Akkuyu NPP in Turkey.

The specialists of the holding are planning to complete all preparatory works by the end of the current year in order to proceed to start the next extensive construction project in the coming year.
