Overall volume of concreting the foundation slab of the reactor building comprises 20 thousand cubic meters. Concreting works are being performed stepwise using three concrete pump trucks and special concrete boom. Concrete quality is being inspected on a multi-stage basis. Works consisting in concreting the foundation of the reactor building and backfilling the pit are to be finished up to the end of November, and the erection of the boundary walls is to be started afterwards.

Construction workers shall lay 4600 tons of reinforcement bars into the foundation of the reactor building of the energy complex. Following the Project, the density of reinforcement applied here is twice as much as the one applied at the foundations of VVER-type reactors.

At present, 739 persons are engaged at the construction site of the pilot-demonstration energy complex of the Proryv Project. The number of engineering and constructing personnel shall be increased to 850 labourers by the end of the year and to two thousand labourers next year.

Construction of the energy complex consisting of the module on fabrication of uranium-plutonium nuclear fuel, power unit BREST-OD-300 and the module on reprocessing spent fuel, is planned to be completed by 2026.
