Sections of the inner containment were manufactured at the facility of LLC TITAN TECHNOLOGY PIPELINE in Sosnovy Bor. After manufacturing, they were transported by sea from Saint Petersburg to the Akkuyu construction site and then assembled into a single tier. The total mass of the structure is 321.9 t, its height is 12 m, and its circumference is 138 m.

Now builders are to weld together the first and the second tier and to finish reinforcement and concreting of the containment. He thickness of concreted walls of the cylindrical part of the inner containment will be 1.2 m. After installation of all components and concreting of the containment, it will be leak-tested.

Besides, the reactor cavity is now being built in the reactor compartment of the power unit. In the turbine building, floors are now being reinforced.
