The Project Proryv aims to create closed fuel cycle technology. The pilot demonstration complex will appear in Seversk that will include the uranium-plutonium nuclear fuel fabrication module, the BREST-300 power unit and the irradiated fuel reprocessing module.

Today, in a solemn atmosphere, the first concrete was poured into the foundation of the future power unit. ROSATOM Director General Alexey Likhachev was present at the ceremony. CONCERN TITAN-2 was represented by the Ioann Averyanov, Director of the Program, the Head of Company Standalone Subdivision in Seversk.

Titan specialists have been working on the Proryv project construction site for several months now. Prior to the start of the main construction period, the specialists have performed a full range of preparatory works: have built motor roads, prepared pre-assembly site, performed excavation works, installed temporary networks for water supply, fire-fighting systems and sewage as well as provided for a temporary power supply.

On the site of future power unit, the company′s specialists have installed a strata drainage of the turbine building, a levelling concrete for the reactor building foundation slab as well as a pile foundation of the cooling tower. Construction of physical protection centre and administration and amenity building at the Fuel Fabrication Module has been completed, along with a range of electrical installation works.
