In total, 24 dormitories for working personnel and 3 dormitories for engineering personnel will be built. The overall capacity of the accommodation camp will be more than 3200 people. This is going to be a proper complex with living and shopping spaces, medical centre, recreation grounds, and sports areas.

“We started working in autumn 2019. We prepared the territory and removed the soil from the site. Currently, we are ready to start construction and installation works. Construction of foundations and installation of metalwork are already underway,” remarks Boris Fedotov, Chief Specialist of the Department for Construction of General Plant and Temporary Buildings and Structures.

The distance from the accommodation camp to the Akkuyu NPP Construction Site is around 2.5 kilometres. Currently, the personnel resides in the neighbouring village and is transported to the worksite by company’s buses.
