The area of the foundation slab is 1,487.16 m2, the volume of laid concrete is 5,801 m3. Fifteen workers and three engineers performed concreting with the use of two pumps.

“We were able to finish concreting two weeks ahead of schedule and thereby to successfully complete one more milestone at the site thanks to coordinated work of the team, rational task setting, and coordination of operations,” said Danila Rashchenko, Head of the Production and Technical Division of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 Directorate for Construction of Facilities in Kursk Oblast.

The unit pumping station ensures water circulation between the turbine condenser and the cooling tower for cooling the steam from the turbine as well as for removing heat from the auxiliary equipment of the turbine building.

Apart from that, specialists of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 ensured construction readiness for installation of three overhead cranes in the turbine building of the Power Unit 1. One of them has been already installed into its the operating area. The Titan team also continues to work at the evaporative cooling tower of the Power Unit 2. Presently, they install bases of shell columns of the cooling tower containment.
