During the meeting, the specialists discussed location of temporary roads, laying of networks, construction site draining. Once the construction license is granted, construction of a reactor building cast-in-place foundation slab will start. During cast-in-place continuous casting of the foundation, 400 thousand cubic meters of concrete will be used.

JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 established the standalone office for operations in Seversk. Today, there are 170 persons including subcontracting organizations and 40 units of machinery involved in the work at the construction site. The preparation period works are being finished: the site layout has been completed, pits for the reactor plant, turbine hall and cooling tower have been excavated, roads and networks are being laid, construction and installation base with warehouses and a construction camp for workers is being constructed.

“Here in Seversk, the JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 specialists face several tasks . In addition to power unit construction for the Proryv Project with the BREST-OD-300 reactor plant, we are planning to start completion of fabrication/ refabrication plant construction –– of the first fuel plant within the Proryv project, which is now being negotiated. The plant shall be constructed by 2022. The second fuel plant is to be constructed in four years, as the design work is still underway. The power unit itself is scheduled to be ready for operation in 2026. The construction of the entire start-up experimental demonstration power supply complex Proryv will be completed in 2030”, stated Vladimir Minayev, Director for Russian Nuclear Projects of JSC CONCERN TITAN-2.

During the work, JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 plans to involve students to the construction site. The agreement for cooperation with the Tomsk universities on students preparation and targeted training is being developed. The students will take the practical training in JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 Standalone Office in Seversk with the possibility of further employment.
