The power unit 2 reactor vessel, weighing more than three hundred tons, was installed at the design location.
The installation of the reactor vessel was preceded by a thorough preparation: installation of the lifting beam, alignment of its position against the crane, and tilting. In addition, the Holding Companies employees ensured the construction preparedness of the reactor building and reactor cavity, where reactor vessel had to be installed.
The job involved experienced JSC MSU-90 and PJSC SUS specialists. The load was installed at the design location - at elevation +14,000 of the reactor building by a Liebherr 11350 crane with a lifting capacity of 1350 tons. During the installation, the crane was turned, moved and an additional load was installed. After that, the equipment was successfully installed at the design location.
