The central hall slabs are currently being concreted at elevation +26.000, as well as the reactor cavity, where the reactor vessel of more than 300 tons will soon be installed.

The elevation of +26.000 is split into four sections, i.e. four areas of continuous pour. Two section have already been concreted. About 280 cubic meters of concrete were placed in the first one and 260 cubic meters of concrete in the second one. The slab thickness at this elevation is 1100 mm.

The Northern Construction Department Team’s main task today is to complete the reactor cavity reinforcement and concreting. Before the reactor vessel being installed there, the cavity lining and electrical cable routing are also required.

On top of that, completion of the works in the reactor cavity will make it possible to start concreting next slabs of the building.
