Specialists of the Second Unit of JSC “MSU90” are completing their equipment installation operations at one of the facilities of the LNPP under construction.
It is a pumping station for essential consumers and a switching chamber. They are the components of the nuclear power plant water circulation system.
At present the pipelines are being installed in the switching chamber building at level - 6,000 for the service water system for essential consumers, which connect the spray ponds with the pumping station. The equipment falls under Safety Class 3. Part of the pipeline is one meter in diameter. The heavy-weight pipeline sections are installed with the use of an overhead crane.
In the pumping station building the workers of “MSU90” assembled four pumpsTsVA-1700-67. Two of the pump units have been hydraulically tested for tightness of their inner cavity. After testing the other two pumps the electric motors shall be mounted. The total weight of one pump assembly with the motor is 9.5 tons.
Then the erection electricians of JSC “EM” shall start their operations. Then specialists from the Second Unit of “MSU90” shall perform idle run of the motors, trial run of the assembled pumps and post-assembly flushing and hydraulic tests of the entire system.
