Specialists of Unit No. 3 of JSC MSU-90 have installed a 107-tons rotor into the stator of the turbine generator at the first power unit of the Leningrad NPP under construction.
The operation was performed by a bridge crane and required high accuracy of installation as the gap between the stator and the rotor was not more than 40 millimeters.
Rotor installation allows to mount the stator in its final design position, transfer it to its permanent supports, connect it to all auxiliary systems and install bearings. Rotor installation operation also allows specialists to finish turbogenerator shaft alignment.
