President Putin inspected the research facility and signed a commemorative plaque with the opening date – August 11, 2026.
CSRF SKIF will be the Russia’s first source of synchrotron radiation of generation 4+ with 3 GeV energy. The facility includes 34 buildings and structures, as well as engineering and process equipment with a total area of about 90 thousand square meters and provides scientific research on synchrotron radiation beams. All construction works at the unique scientific facility was carried out by specialists of TITAN-2 Holding.
The general contractor for the construction was JSC CONCERN TITAN-2 (part of the Electric Power Division of ROSATOM).
