The tunnel connects nuclear and turbine islands to the pump station of firewater and automatic water fire extinguishing. It is intended for placement of process pipelines and cables of different functions. Its length of 110 metres.

The tunnel is a two-storey structure of rectangular section located from levels -13,500 to 0,000. The basis of the structure is a solid concrete foundation up to three metres thick.

Employees of construction crew no.6 have finished excavation of the pit of the structure in hard-constrained conditions, have concreted the foundation, and now have started executed of main works for arrangement of the tunnel. Nowadays they are concreting walls and slabs.

In total, it is necessary to pour 2.5 thousand cubic metres of concrete on the facility. 1.4 thousand cubic metres have already been poured in the structure. Curing of concrete is done by means of diesel heat generators in heated enclosures where it gradually obtains required consistency.

After completion of the main works for construction of the tunnel, the crew of hydro-installation works will start laying of pipes and networks. Then they will backfill the area.
