At the last stage of work, January 30 - 31, builders laid concrete from the elev. +68.750 to +70.200 on the structure dome portion. A total of 116 cubic meters of concrete were poured.

The work on the reactor building cast-in-situ structures is finished with the completion of the outer containment concreting. Now builders will have to install permanent parapets and close installation openings.

The reactor outer containment serves as physical protection against all external influences for the inner containment, which in turn ensures the leak-tightness of the internal volume with all operating conditions of the nuclear power plant, including emergency operations.

Thus, the Outer Containment will protect the reactor from natural and man-made external influences, including earthquakes, hurricanes, a plane crash. Therefore, especially strong reinforcement and high-class concrete are used in the construction of the outer containment.

Titan-2 Holding is the largest in the North-West group of companies, constructing the most important nuclear industry and power facilities. The company performs a full range of construction and installation works from engineering to commissioning.

Titan-2 Holding is the general contractor for the construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 power units. The Holding Companies perform all the civil, installation, and electrical works at a construction site. The works are carried out in the reactor, turbine, power supply, water supply, heat cogeneration buildings and other power unit structures.
