TITAN-2 subsidiary MSU-90 extracts turbine rotors for the inspection of all parts of each cylinder and turbine flow path.

The first low pressure cylinder has already passed the procedure. The second and fourth low pressure cylinders, as well as a high-pressure cylinder, are in operation.

MSU-90 installed the rotor of the fourth low-pressure cylinder in a proper location. The weight of the equipment is about 100 tons, the length is about 8 meters. The transfer was performed with an overhead crane of the turbine island. Further, each cylinder of the turbine set will sequentially undergo this procedure.

The next task for MSU-90 fitters will be to connect the generator stator with the turbine main body. This is necessary for the physical start-up of the power unit. During physical start-up, the physical parameters of the turbine, the operation of automation, valves, etc. will be checked. However, electricity will not be generated.

Note:

Titan-2 Holding is the largest in the North-West group of companies, constructing the most important nuclear industry and power facilities. The company performs a full range of construction and installation works from engineering to commissioning.

Titan-2 Holding is the general contractor for the construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 power units. The Holding Companies perform all the civil, installation, and electrical works at a construction site. The works are carried out in the reactor, turbine, power supply, water supply, heat cogeneration buildings and other power unit structures.
