The installation was performed by JSC “MSU-90” and subcontractor.

There are total of four safety channels in the stand-by diesel-generator station, each one housing a diesel generator set. The fifth set has been already installed at the unit diesel-generator station.

Each diesel generator is 11 meters long and weighs 89 tons.

Stand-by diesel-generator station ensures power supply to NPP safety systems in case of emergency in order to switch the reactor into the secure state.

The installation of diesel generator process pipelines and auxiliary equipment will soon commence. JSC “MSU-90” specialists have already started installation of the demineralized water pipeline.

JSC “SEM”, Holding Titan-2 electric installation organization specialists are also involved at the facility. The diesel-generator station also houses 10kV complete switchgears, 0.4kV switchgears and cables, which are now being installed.

The preparation of foundations for other equipment is almost over. It is planned to install the second diesel generator on April 1st. The whole set of diesel generators shall be ready for operation this autumn.
