To perform the task the specialists created a clean area in the reactor compartment in order to store equipment prior to the control assembly of the reactor unit.

The works are executed by the MSU-90 first area specialists (“Holding Titan-2”). By October 2019 they shall fully assemble all the reactor components. The upper unit which shall cover the pressure vessel was first to be delivered to the site.

Its weight is 95 tons, diameter – 4.5 meters, heights – 3.5 meters.

The equipment was lifted to the transport lock trestle using Liebherr LR 11350 crane, installed onto the trolley and driven inside the building. The polar crane of the reactor compartment will be used to deliver the upper unit to the storage area.

Other pressure vessel components will soon be delivered to the site.
