The activity is aimed to check the bearings under the load.

The low pressure rotor weighs 86 tons. Four such rotors will be installed at the second power unit of the LNPP under construction. There is a separate slinging scheme for each rotor. Special tool called cross arm is used for that. It was designed by the manufacturer and supplied with the rotors.

Installation of the rotor was executed using the standard turbine hall bridge crane. Crane operator, foreman and four 6th grade installers took part in the procedure.

This year it is planned to finalize the turbine assembly and commence turbine process piping installation. Then the steam unit will be installed onto the rotorbarring.
