This job is one of those highly critical lifting operations consisting of several stages.
First the equipment was brought to the Turbine building to the elevation of +16,000, then with the help of three cranes in was brought down to -6,000 through a special installation opening.
Installation of the feed pumps and motor drivers was executed by specialists of the third section of JSC "MSU-90". The equipment shall serve to supply feedwater from the deaerator to the steam generator. One electric pump assembly including motor driver weighs 30 tons. The motor driver alone weighs 12.5 tons.
