Evaporative cooling tower is used to cool the water in the industrial water recycling systems of Power Unit 2 of the future NPP.
The height of the hydraulic structure is 165 meters.
Currently with the beginning of the warm season construction works have been resumed on the site. Specialists perform concreting of 17-th storey, the amount of concrete laid to date is 137 m3. At the moment the height of the tower is 39 meters.
The building is set on a pile foundation consisting of 1684 piles. Inclined colonnade of the cooling tower consists of 100 columns. The center of the structure will contain the water distribution facilitymade of reinforced concrete, with inlet pipes. The designed service life of the cooling tower is 60 years.
