Specialists from construction and erection department No.9 of OJSC “SUS” are completing the operations at the outdoor on-site transfer center of the Leningrad nuclear power plant.

The structure is intended for unloading nuclear fuel containers. It is a 16 m open trestle bearing a traveling crane having a lifting capacity of 160 tons. The crane metalwork was fully mounted by the efforts of the hoisting facilities unit of “SMU-9”.

Prior to putting the crane on its standard place the specialists executed its pre-assembling. One overhead travelling crane gantry assembly weighs 15 tons. The traveling crane was mounted with the use of mobile crane GROVE RT130E-2 having a lifting capacity of 110 tons.

At present the crane components are being mounted. Then electric installation and start-up works will begin.
