Specialists of the first Area of JSC MSU-90 have mounted the last fourth unit of equipment in the reactor building of the first power unit of the Leningrad NPP under construction.
In line with the schedule in two months, Area specialists assembled all electric motors of a coolant pump, transported them to the reactor building and mounted on their regular places at a level mark +14,000.
In the reactor building each electric motor weighing 46 tons was moved by the transportation lock trestle crane. Then the motors were reloaded on to the polar crane and lowered on their required mark.
The coolant pump electric motors are designed to circulate the coolant in the primary coolant circuit and to dissipate heat from the reactor core.
Then pipelines will be connected to the electric motors.
