At the beginning of July a delegation of the Center of Radiation and Nuclear Safety of Finland (STUK) and the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (RosTechNadzor) visited the construction site of the Leningrad NPP and construction bases of TITAN-2 holding.

6 people, including Petteri Tiipana, CEO of STUK and Alexey Ferapontov, Deputy Manager of RosTechNadzor, comprised the delegation. The main objective of the visit was inspection of production facilities of the holding and assessment of company’s capabilities to perform works at the construction site of "Hankhikivi-1" NPP in Finland.

During the visit a meeting for STUK and RosTechNadzor specialists was arranged with the management of TITAN-2 holding and the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant to discuss the progress of construction of new power units at the Leningrad NPP. Both sides stressed that such interaction on a wide range of issues is efficient and agreed to continue cooperating in the field of nuclear and radiation safety regulation. Then the guests visited a construction site, an assembly and procurement area of JSC SEM, a production workshop of JSC MSU-90 and a mechanical shop of JSC UAT.

As a result of the visit, STUK and RosTechNadzor specialists have noted the positive changes occurred over the last one and a half year at the construction site of the Leningrad NPP. Representatives of supervisory authorities have highly appreciated the level of complexity and quality of works performed, as well as modern equipment, cleanness and production organization at the construction bases of TITAN-2 holding.
