JSC UAT modernizes russian air force airfield

Specialists of a holding’s subsidiary continue modernizing an airfield in the city of Engels in the Saratov region.

As of today a large portion of project works has been already accomplished. Some objects have been already handed over to the customer for temporary operation. These are a two-row 30-km-long perimeter fence, a part of a runway, two taxi ways and a part of an apron. Aircraft have been already using the reconstructed runway for take-offs and landings.

Currently UAT specialists continue installing trays and concreting a drainage network. In one of the areas specialists started to make a sand basis for a pipeline.

Power supply cable ducts for projector poles are being building. Concrete pipes holders for of local treatment facilities are being waterproofed.

Backfilling works and compaction works on sand and crushed-stone base for aircraft apron and the main taxi way continue. Laying of concrete runway surface on one of the runway sections and runway sides padding works commenced.

The works are being performed in the buildings of the reactor, turbine, electricity, water, heating system and other structures of power units.
