Personnel of JSC MSU-90 commenced assembling electric motors of the main reactor coolant pump set of the first Power Unit at the LAES under construction.
They are designed to circulate coolant in the primary coolant circuit and to remove heat from the reactor nuclear core. There are total four electric motors. Each weighs 46 tons. They will be mounted in the reactor building at the level mark +14,000.
Specialists of JSC MSU-90 de-preserve and prepare for assembling of the first item of equipment. After high-voltage testing the electric motors will be mounted on their regular places by the polar crane.
