One of two borated water tanks is being tested at the reactor building of the first Power Unit at the Leningrad NPP under construction.

These tanks will serve as a borated water storage for emergency cases. Specialists of JSC MSU-90 mounted the tanks, reveted them and installed the filtering modules.

The equipment is between level marks -3,700 and 0,000. The tanks are made of stainless steel, their volume is 1100 and 1200 m3. To perform hydraulic tests one of the tanks was filled with chemical demineralized water and left for a day. After specialists ascertained that the tank is tight, they commenced preparing pipelines of the first and second safety trains for washing by this equipment.

The second borated water storage tank shall be hydraulically tested in the near future.
