Rotor is placed inside turbine generator startor. This operation is essential for turbine shaft line assembling.

Rotor`s weight is 110 t. Gap between the rotor and internal stator shell is 35 mm. As a result special slinging procedure and rails for moving the rotor into the stator were required.

Installation staff to perform the task successfully completed similar works at the first power unit of LNPP under construction. Therefore, the operations were smoother and faster this time.

Following rotor placing, rotor wobbling within the bearings will be measured. When this task is completed, the rotor should be removed from the stator to perform a number of tests and measurements, including high voltage test of generator startor winding.

Note:

Titan-2 Holding is the largest in the North-West group of companies, constructing the most important nuclear industry and power facilities. The company performs a full range of construction and installation works from engineering to commissioning.

Titan-2 Holding is the general contractor for the construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 power units. The Holding Companies perform all the civil, installation, and electrical works at a construction site. The works are carried out in the reactor, turbine, power supply, water supply, heat cogeneration buildings and other power unit structures.

The Holding is the main contractor for the construction of the Hanhikivi-1 NPP in Finland.
