The project is executed by JSC Akkuyu Nuclear, while JSC Concern Titan-2 acts as construction contractor.

The limited construction permit allows to commence construction and installation works on the power unit facilities, except for those important for nuclear island safety. The permit will enable to commence pit preparation, engineering survey and other activities.

The next step is to obtain the construction license and to commence the foundation slab concreting, which will be an official start of the Akkuyu NPP second power unit construction.

As the main contractor, JSC Concern Titan-2 shall build four Akkuyu NPP power units with VVER-1200 reactors of 1.2 GW each. The company office is established at the construction site.
