With the help of a "Liebherr" crane having the carrying capacity of 1,350 tonnes a cylindrical structure – a bottom plate – has been moved into the building of the 2nd reactor unit. The bottom plate will be used for thermal insulation of the cylindrical portion of the reactor vessel.

The bottom plate weighs 160 tons. In order to install it onto its place, the bottom plate was raised to the height of 60+ meters, moved over the jib of the tower crane and lowered into the building.
