Specialists of the First Unit of JSC “MSU-90” continue assembly of reactor coolant pump sets (RCPS) in the reactor building of Power Unit 1 of the LNPP under construction.
The equipment is being installed at level +14,000. Each of the four pumps complete with electric engine weighs over 100 tons. They are intended for provision of the primary circuit coolant circulation as well as for heat removal from the reactor core.
At present one of the four reactor coolant pump sets has been assembled. After installation of each piece of the equipment each RCPS will be provided with relevant piping. Then the specialists will conduct the tests and perform idle run of the electric engines.
